We continue with Karmen Rouggeri in our exciting journey into the magical world of children's theatre, with the work  "Assemblywomen" Ecclesiazusae by Aristophanes... like a fairy tale...". It is not a fairy tale, it is a comedy by Aristophanes but presented in a fairy tale-like way. With "Ecclesiazusae by Aristophanes... like a fairy tale...". It is not a fairy tale, it is a comedy by Aristophanes but presented in a fairy tale-like way. With colorful sets and costumes, with music, songs and dancing from tradition, with excellent actors, with the participation of the spectators, since they will all take part in the performance as soon as the hall is transformed into the Assembly of Citizens.

The meeting of the children with Aristophanes takes place through an adaptation that shows respect both to the poet and our little friends, like all the performances created by Karmen Rougeri and her associates.

A few words about the play


We are in 392 BC. Ten years have passed from the end of the Peloponnesian War and the Athenians have not yet recovered from the devastation...

Things move from bad to worse. Everybody wants a change in the administration of the country. Nobody is pleased until Praxagora, a brilliant housewife, decides to act... She has agreed to meet with her friends at the Lantern of Diogenes, just before dawn as soon as the rooster crows for the third time. The agreement is for all of them to wear their husbands' clothes, to disguise themselves with fake beards and moustaches and to go to...
