Based on Klaus Mann's novel Mephisto Triptych of Power - Part I
Based on Klaus Mann’s novel Mephisto (1936), which follows the career of an actor who collaborates with the Nazis, Mefisto for Ever (the first part in the Triptych of Power) addresses art and politics, passion and opportunism in contemporary terms. The play’s mix of seriousness and sarcasm coupled with its powerful performances and direction - in which the poetry of the stage is amalgamated with technology - makes for a truly explosive experience.
